We just reordered new cylinders because a friend of ours had the cylinder fail. Had to remove tire and take it to a locksmith who could drill out the center insert. Lucky it came out. Might be helpful if there was some info on this at the site. Might have ordered spares when we first made our purchase. The shipping prices are so high, it is helpful if you have some friends also order. Disappointed in the lack of technical information on maintenance and life span of the cylinders. My friend uses his all the time and so it does get a work out, but had no idea it was recommended to change the cylinders out. Learned this when we called in for help in trying to remove the cylinder. Now I know. A center punch and then a good metal drill bit. Or a good locksmith. One wanted to take the whole thing apart or saw it off. Ouch.
Needs to be replaced every 4-5 years
